The behavior of birds based on their body posture.

The human being has always tried to understand the birds, their temperament, their habits and their behavior. Always humans tend to try to compare their behaviors with our behaviors and this is when we ask ourselves if for example our bird is happy or if he is sick or if he feels fear or if he is in love. However, a misinterpretation shows us how little we know exactly about the interior life of the birds. Here is a small guide to the most common behaviors that you can observe in any bird in freedom or in captivity and its probable interpretation. When the beak is open it is because the bird is on the defensive and is preparing to attack. With the beak open warns the adversary that he can peck it. If it is repeated continuously it is instead a physiological reason for being affected by a disease that prevents it from breathing. If the bird has wings spread and the open beak is associated as an alarm signal, the bird tries to get bigger to impress the adversary. This behavior indicates that he is about to attack where generally the adversary adopts a behavior of submission: emits a light prod or directly presents the throat to the attacker, which is enough to avoid confrontation. A bird that unfolds its wings for no apparent reason is because it may simply have heat. When the birds lengthen the neck and keeps the feathers attached to the body, it is because it is scared. It is because he hears an unusual noise or has been surprised in his privacy. Although it never stays always in that same position, as it returns to calm quickly but with the most acute senses. When the birds are standing on one leg it is because they feel completely calm, they rest, closing their eyes, without sleeping at all. When a bird inclines its head to one side where another is, it is because they understand each other well, it is an attitude of invitation to cleanliness (to be left scratching the head). When birds sleep during the day with their heads under the torso's feathers, it is because they feel discomfort either because they are in pain, or because they were stressed because they were installed in a new cage or lived through a traumatic experience. When the birds emit a small cry accompanied by an agitation of the wings it is because they wait for food from their mother, also some females repeat this behavior to attract the attention of a male before reproduction. When the birds are covered with dirt the body is to try to eliminate parasites. When some birds allow themselves to be cleaned by another bird, it is a sign of reciprocal understanding, but it is also a way to cleanse the parts of the body that one does not reach. When the birds stretch one leg and one wing at a time is to stretch after having slept or when you are thinking of making some sudden movements like flying. When the bird is observed on the floor (from the cage or simply on the ground when it is in liberty) and does not climb the branches, it is because it is very serious. Just take ten minutes observing and truthful some of these positions described in this text.
