The birds in the history of man

The birds have always been subject to glorification by man. From very early times, from the dawn of mankind, when the human being lived harassed by the hostility of the elements, the bird already owned large spaces.
With their first trills in a nearby tree announced the beginning of a new day, they would surely fascinate with their spectacular feathers in the middle of a cruel land, plagued with wild animals, surely the mere contemplation of the bird would produce a unique sensation of well-being that would fade to the Flying on the horizon. No wonder the early civilizations made them revered beings, or turned them into symbols, and worship their feathers with supreme respect. If we observe in history the humanity is perceived the birds in different aspects of the culture, in its aesthetic and religious aspects. For example in ancient Egypt, the white ibis represented the god Thot, who was mummified and was executed who dared to kill him. In ancient Greece the owl was consecrated as a reflective bird and consecrated as the goddess Minerva. The eagle was the bird of Jupiter, the peacock of Juno and the dove was consecrated to Venus. In Christianity, the dove also appears in the Ark of Noah, who is the one who brings good news and much later is the symbol of the Holy Spirit. In ancient Maya the quetzal is the most sacred being. The Argonauts brought Greece the birds of Phasis. It is known the case of the geese of the Capitol. And for Christopher Columbus it was the birds that gave him hope to find islands in the midst of an infinite sea, even in his diary he wrote "most of the islands that the Portuguese have by the birds discovered them." The condor was also a symbol of strength for San Martín when he crossed the Andes in his epic. As we see throughout the whole history the bird (or any other bird) relives the yearning for improvement in the human being and still today the glorification is not over. Perhaps there is more scientific rigor today and despite this, many biologists, ornithologists and amateur bird breeders have not been able to solve for certain the problems related to the instinct, intelligence, senses and certain habits of these sentient beings. Little progress has been made in understanding the migratory routes of passing birds, but it is still far from clear what are the determining causes of seasonal travel and the mechanism that guides them through the terrestrial atmosphere. In an era characterized by living in an artificial (and virtual) environment far from nature, the human being and his love for the birds has not ceased which is an encouraging social symptom since thanks to this love every day there is more awareness Of the care of the species, because we have only the environment, that is why perhaps parks and nature reserves have been created and a global and cultural awareness has been generated on the protection of the different species that are running every day Risk of disappearing. The social networks on the internet today have a preponderant role on the useful and varied information generated by those who with great enthusiasm try to spread the idea of raising and / or saving various species. Today, although not everyone can have a nightingale on their shoulders, but if all those who want to enjoy the song of the nightingale through a video, something decades ago was unthinkable. Birds in general are not only those creatures whose voice, plumage and behavior captivate us, are also the core of maintaining biological balance in an ecosystem. The bird is for the human being a free and happy being, perhaps for that very reason fascinates us because we do not have what they do have. And I end up with an idea of St. Francis of Assisi when he saw a bird build his nest, he called it "brother bird you nest as we build a chapel." The bird is more than the friend of man is the brother of man. And your reader friend who took the time to read this article ... what do you think?
